Parks Moving Companies is a three-generation, family owned and oprrated business founded by J.B. Williams, Sr. The company served as a local drayage firm hauling freight from the railroad stations to all businesses in the Uniontown PA area and performing local household moving with a wagon and a team of horses. In 1919 J.B. Williams sold all the horses and wagons and purchased the Parks Moving Companies first moving truck. He then began doing long distance moving and was granted a title as the grandfather certificate by the ICC to perform interstate and long distance moves in 1935. | |||
